MW2: Don't fix what isn't broken *Spoilers*
In the past couple of days there’s been a spill out of huge spoilers and MW features we had no idea about. FourZeroTwo, community rep for Infinity Ward called a media blackout for those not wanting the game ruined because of early games being released by accident.
One leak was an early copy that hit the streets that streamed the single player over ustream.com and leaked the Russian...
Xbox Update: Facebook, Twitter, and Last fm.
Back in June at E3 Microsoft announced social networking giants Facebook and Twitter appilcations and also music platform Last fm for Xbox LIVE. About a week ago Microsoft started allowing people to update and preview the new features and so far as far as I’m concerned it’s nothing really special. Facebook
First things first, if you already hate Facebook your really going to hate...
Modern Warfare 2 PC Dedicated Servers
FourZeroTwo, community manger at Infinity Ward recently broke the news that Modern Warfare 2 PC would have it’s online functions be identical to the consoles version. This means match making, random people, random maps, and map packs being pushed harder on the PC.
First off, what the hell is wrong with the way PC dedicated servers work? Has there ever been a problem? What does dedicated...

PSPGo and Digital distribution prices
The PSPgo is over 50 percent lighter and 43 percent smaller than the first generation PSP. It is also more expensive, priced at $249.99 US. If you were an “early adopter” of the PSP then you most likely have a very large collection of UMD’s, and possibly even movies. You’ll also know that there is no way to possibly use those UMDs as it stands right now and no plan to...

Sony's 'Alternative controller'?
For now, Sony’s motion control device is simply the “wand”. Sony says that it most likely won’t remain like that so theres room to speculate and according to Shuhei Yoshida the head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide, “There are several candidates for the name of the controller.”
Also, at the moment Sony’s equivalent of Nintendo’s Wii...

Mod Warfare 2 no demo/beta
Developers Infinity Ward have said there are “no [plans] for a Demo before launch”, because “the entire team is focused on polish all the way up to ship of the full game”. Also no beta.
A lot of people are taking this personally, as an insult to their intelligence. That Infinity Ward Is just pushing this as fast as possible knowing people will buy it no matter what....

I trust this man
Oh my god, my faith has been restored. At least in Kojima. In an interview with Kotaku, Kojima assured everyone that he wasn’t interested in casual titles. He said of course Natal will be a excellent platform for casual titles and to be honest I agree. I think even for some of us a properly built, developed, and a good looking game like World of Goo, and Peggle have a place in our...

No UMD transfer for PSPGo
Sony has finally revealed that they will not be offering digital transfers for the users stuck with UMDs that were willing to go buy the PSPGo. Huge mistake, huuuuuuuuge.
Sony told Kotaku, “We were evaluating a UMD conversion program, but due to legal and technical reasons we will not be offering the program at this time.” Of course they’re offering PSP owners in the UK looking to...

Halo ODST. Do not buy it.
Ah, the Halo franchise. One of the biggest of all time, almost ready to rival the classics. Jokes.
I use to be a fan, honestly. I loved Halo: Combat Evolved, I played it a ton on the computer. The story was interesting and the multilayer was different from other games at the time. Halo 2 broke my heart, Halo 3 took it a bit back adding a bit more fun for me as I played through it alone and...

Please restore my faith Microsoft
Fan boy here, hello! Not.
I’m getting on the bandwagon, seriously. Microsoft at it’s Natal panel at TGS’09 announced publishers and developers that are currently working and toying with the Natal kit and making games. Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Konami, Sega, Square Enix, THQ, and Ubisoft were all on the list currently and I’m impressed....

PS3 Slim sells 1 million consoles
Surprising, really. I almost counted Sony out and was ready to not even look back. I didn’t think this late in the game someone would be dishing out consoles like this.
What probably is most surprising is why Sony didn’t announce the Slim at E3’09. I mean really, Sony had people to impress at E3 and I feel would of stole the show with something like this. Looking back we had...

Is anyone as worried as I am?
I’m serious, it’s getting a little bit silly how far Nintendo is dragging what it created through the dirt and spreading it’s seed everywhere, it’s dirty…dirty seed.
I’m really trying to accept the motion control take over that’s coming next year, I’m not going to lie, I don’t feel games will be the same without a controller, sometimes...

Price cut incoming
Not exactly what I was hoping out of TGS’09 but Nintendo, as rumored weeks ago has slashed the price on the Wii by about 50$ in North American and Japan. No idea about Europe or why they were left out.
The Wii will be going from $250 to $200 by Sept. 27th in NA and Oct. 1st in Japan. Of course this isn’t going to make up for the Wii being a overpriced original Xbox with motion...

Valve answers to the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott
Nearly 25,000 fans have vowed to boycott Valves upcoming release of Left 4 Dead 2 after it was announced at E3 2009 during the Microsoft Conference. Why?
Well, according to their groups manifesto they believe Valve had no plans in releasing the promised DLC content that was announced by Valve last year and just went ahead with developing a sequel. They also feel that this would shove a...

How the Wii will fail
Now with almost as double the number of units sold then Microsoft and Sony saying the Wii will fail is maybe not looking like the brightest thing to say, but things aren’t looking good.
One thing the Wii lacks is not killer graphics and next-gen physics and incredible online experience, it’s games. The problem with the Wii is that gamers bought the console cause of the controller...

Why Crysis 2 is on it's way to consoles
I always wondered when this day would come. When the PC game that could cripple a system and make it crawl would switch to consoles.

No new consoles from Nintendo for 8 years?
The life expectancy of consoles is sort of a debated thing. Maybe they should last longer and the full use and power of the console should be used before releasing or thinking about devloping a new console, or maybe consoles should come out when the next and best thing is developed, like motion control. Microsoft stated at E3 that their console is just about half way done and Sony is still...
